用Na OH粗化处理芳纶纤维,然后用化学镀方法实现了芳纶纤维表面Ag金属化。使用扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、原子力显微镜(AFM)和X射线光电子能谱仪(XPS)等手段对纤维的表面形貌和元素组成进行了表征,使用X射线衍射仪(XRD)分析了镀银前后纤维的晶体结构变化,使用纤维强伸度仪和热重分析仪(TG)测量了芳纶纤维在镀银前后的力学性能和热稳定性,用万用表测试了镀层的导电性能。结果表明:Ag金属层均匀致密地包裹在纤维的表面,结合牢固度较高。镀银使纤维的热稳定性有所提高,对力学性能的影响较小,电阻达到0.52Ω/cm,在冷热水循环和盐水环境下银层的稳定性较好。
Silver nano-particles were deposited on the surface of aramid fibers by a two-step process i.e. firstly coarsening the surface of aramid fibers with sodium hydroxide and then Ag electroless plating. The Ag-plated aramid fibers were characterized by scanning electron microscope(SEM), atomic force microscope(AFM), X-ray photoelectron spectrometer(XPS) and X-ray diffractometer(XRD). The mechanical properties, thermal stability, and electrical resistance of the Ag-plated aramid fibers were examined by thermogravimetric analyzer(TG) and digital multimeter. The results show that the plated Ag is homogeneous and compact; The plating process had little impact on the mechanical properties of the aramid fiber, while the Ag-plating could enhance its thermal stability; The electrical resistivity is as low as0.52 Ω/cm. And the Ag-layer exhibits good stability in hot-and cold-water cyclic test or in salt solution.
