Intrauterine contraceptive device （IUD） is a long- acting reversible contraceptive method and it is most one of contraceptive measures for China＇s women. However, there are some complications such as pregnancy with IUD in situ, unexpected pregnancy, falling off and in IUD uses. It is necessary to summary the failure of IUD use of reviews and the key strategy would be taken to step down the failure rate of IUD.
