The tannins has various biological activities and pharmacological effects .It is one of the active ingre- dient in Chinese rhubarb.the chemical properties, determinati-on methods, pharmacol ogical effects of rhubarb tannins were summarized in this pa--per. To predict the development pro spects of rhubarb tannin, to provide the reference for further development, application, utilization and finding new medicine of rhubarb resources.
