英文摘要：

In the urbanizing world, how to achieve urban sustainable development has been a hottest issue. The paper focuses on international studies in this field. Firstly, based on various important literatures, the paper investigates three key concepts - ＂urban sustainability, sustainable cities, urban sustainable development＂ to makes thematic analysis thoughtfully. Secondly, the paper argues that a new paradigm of urban studies-systemic closed ring is coming into being from integration of the key concepts, which will also mean new opportunities and challenges to the discipline of urban planning in China.
