英文摘要：

In order to breed and enhance colleges and universities＇ niche fatnesses and realize their sustainable developments, a scientific quantitative analysis method should be established. In view of the niche fitness theory in nature, taking colleges and universities as objects for research, the meaning of colleges and universities＇ niche fatnesses is discussed. In addition, an indicator system is established and its computational formulas are constructed and applied to sixteen universities in China. The results accord with the reality, which can offer colleges and universities a new and valid way for reasonable evaluation and decision-making.
