Recently a mantle mineral group including about 70- 80 subtipys of mineral have been discovered from podiform chromitite in Tibet, China. Recovered minerals include diamond, coesite, moissanite, wostite, Fe-Si alloys and this new mineral luobusaite. All of these minerals were hand the podiform chromitite in the peridotite of the ophiolite in Tibet. Some with inclusions of native silicon or as a intergrowth with native silicon irregular grais with 0.1-0.2 mm in size, consisting of very fine grained colour, metallic luster, opaque.
