Fluorescence optical fiber probes have stronger anti-jamming capability and higher precision. With fluorescence optical fiber probes, we can achieve prompt, convenient and exact detection of biology parameter. They also provide fast and handy tools for basal medical study and clinical diagnosis. This paper gives an introduction to the basic design principle of fluorescence optical fiber probes and several basic structures of fluorescence probes, summarizes the applications of fluorescence probes in clinical medical diagnosis and pharmaceutical analysis , besides, its extensive applied foreground and huge potential value in medical domain are prospected.
