Introduction, absorption and re-innovation are important ways to improve serf-innovation ability of industries. This pa- per, based on the data of foreign direct investment （ FDI）, explores the differentiation and the mechanism of impact of FDI on serf-in- novation ability in different industries through constructing model and analysis using statistical tool. At last, some suggestions of impro- ving self-innovation ability of different industries by using FDI are proposed in the paper.
