为了更有效地对地理信息进行表达和管理,利用虚拟环境系统,结合地理信息系统(GIS)和数据库技术,提出并设计了一种基于GIS技术的虚拟环境系统结构.系统总体由数据库、地理信息管理子系统和虚拟环境子系统组成,研究了GIS地理数据在虚拟环境中的采集、组织和合成,介绍了系统原型构造中的一些关键技术问题,初步应用表明,基于GIS的虚拟环境系统能为GIS应用提供更有效的信息表示方法.
To express and manage the geographical information more effectively, we proposed and designed a virtual environment system based on GIS and database. The system is composed of database, a GIS subsystem and a virtual environment subsystem. The construction of the process of collection, organization and combination of GIS data was investigated by the system. Some key problems in the system construction were discussed. Preliminary application shows that the virtual environment based on GIS can achieve better information expression for GIS applications.
