Based on a case study and a brief review of the different perceptions of the traditional architectural craftsmanship by the ordinary,the official and the profession,the traditional architectural craftsmanship is defined as an entirety,composed by such aspects as utility,culture and value.While a holistic inheritance of the traditional architectural craftsmanship is needed,the culture and the value aspects should be especially emphasized with the current social condition.
