在介绍常规图像自适应模糊增强算法和粒子群优化算法的基本原理的基础上,针对常规图像模糊增强算法中自动获取模糊控制参数耗时较长,执行效率低的问题,提出了一种应用粒子群优化算法结合图像灰度直方图特征进行图像自适应模糊增强的新方法.实际图像增强实验的结果表明方法效率比常规图像自适应模糊增强算法有很大的提高.

The paper first introduces the method which can enhance the image adaptively by use of fuzzy theory, then explains the principle of particle swarm optimization （PSO）. However, the enhancement method has long time to get fuzzy parameter, which brings down efficiency of the method in practical work. In order to reduce time to attain fuzzy parameter and improve efficiency of the old enhancement algorithm, this paper presents a new method which employs PSO and histogram of the image to enhance image adaptively. Experimental result shows that the new method is more effective than the old one.
