Similarities were found in recent researches on stem cell and visceral picture, and a hy- pothesis of the nature of visceral picture in cellular level is raised as following, stem cell population matches with ＂Zang viscera＂, internally dominating the function of storing essence, and can produce descendant with the same nature as its own, contributes to maintenance of stability of organism. While ordinary cell populations, which match with ＂picture＂ and dominate Qi externally, embrace the stem cell population with physiological functions manifested externally, the renewal and changes are relatively faster and more active compared with the stem cell population.
