CHEN Junliang, graduated from the Department of Telecommunications, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China in 1955, and received his Doctor of Engineering degree from the Moscow Institute of Electrical Tele- communications, former Soviet Union in 1961. He was a visiting scholar in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences of the University of California at Berkeley and also in the Department of Computer Sciences at UCLA of U.S.A. from 1979 to 1981. He was elected as a member of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1991, and a member of Chinese Academy of Engineering in 1994. He has been working in Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) since 1955 and currently is a Professor and Head of the Research Academy of Networking of BUPT.
