提出一种基于虚拟器官的植物可视化方法。该方法将真实植物器官的生理和形态属性抽象为虚拟器官的属性,以虚拟器官间的关系描述虚拟植物的形态,并通过对虚拟器官属性的变化来实现对整个植物生长过程的模拟。虚拟器官的属性变化由生长规则所控制。生长规则依据虚拟器官的属性和当前的环境属性来决定下一生长周期虚拟器官属性的变化。环境属性的变化由虚拟环境根据环境变化规则来模拟。植物最终的3D形态,由3D引擎通过读取各个虚拟器官的属性来进行展示。实验证明该方法能够对植物生长进行逼真的模拟。
A virtual organ based plant visualization method was proposed.Virtual organ was the representation of physiological and geometric attributes of real plant organ.And the relation among virtual organs was used to describe structure of plant.The process of plant growth controlled by growth rules could be realized by changing attributes of virtual organ.The attributes of virtual organs in the next growth period were determined by growth rules according to the current attributes of virtual organs and environment.The attributes of environment whose changes were controlled by variation rules were simulated by virtual environment.Finally 3D graph of visual plant was rendered by 3D engine which read the attributes of virtual organs to control the rendering process.Experiments show that plant growth can be simulated realistically by this method.
