Disorderly brick wall is an excellent representative of material recycling practices in traditional construction craft, is also a typica brick wall form in the traditional architecture. The most abundant and elegant related building instances are located in Yangzhou, which is not only showing the superb technology of the early builders, but also bearing the profound connotation of the local history and culture. In view of this, this article will start from the specific construction case in Yangzhou, researching the old material brick＇s special construction methods and application in the traditional architecture. Expect for some inspiration to the brick material used in the design of modern architecture.
