APMP was treated by pectinase. It is proved that the treatment can improve the drainage, the strength and the brightness of the APAM. The optimum conditions for the pectinase treatment are as follows：the concentration of the pectinase is 1 500×10^-6 in pulp, the pulp concentration is 1.0%, pH value is 4.5, temperature is 45 ℃, and process time is 60 min.
