Polychlorinated biphenyls （PCBs） are widespreadly persistent organic pollutants, which are threatening seriously the health of animals and human beings. The present paper reviews the toxicity and detoxification of PCBs in aquatic animals. The aim is to study further, to control and prevent the pollution of PCBs as well as to protect aquatic animals, ecological environment and human health, to develop sustainable fisheries.
