This paper analyzes the inevitability of the interaction between competitive sports and social sports in ＂post -Olympic era＂ and points out that competitive sports is bearer of ＂gold medal＂ symbol and social sports is an expression of ＂grassroots＂ symbol. So in ＂post- Olympic era＂ the interaction between ＂gold medal＂ and ＂grassroots＂ is demanded to enhance. Also in this paper the conflict and cooperative interaction between competi- tive sports and social sports is discussed and the realization of harmonious and sustainable development between competitive sports and social sports in the interaction is pointed out.
