Xiamen is a city with rapid economic development in china.Land use benefits are very obvious and pose clear coupling relationship in the city.A dynamic coupling model of land use benefits was set up and used to calculate the indicators of both socio-economic and eco-environment benefits of Xiamen from 2001 to 2010.Then their coupling relationship was analyzed with the application of dynamic coupling model.The study showed that the composite indicator of socio-economic benefits and eco-environmental benefits both increased during the studying period,with the latter at a slower rate.The response of eco-environment generally lagged behind of socio-economic.The coupling relationship during the studying period was harmonious development and will degrade into the lower-level symbiosis state.
