衰老对脑出血大鼠早期脑水肿和远期脑萎缩的影响

目的:探讨年龄对Fischer大鼠实验性自发性脑出血(EICH)后早期脑水肿和远期的脑萎缩的影响.方法:按年龄不同将大鼠分为年轻组、中间组和年老组,分别测定脑组织含水量和分析脑形态学变化.结果:EICH后第3天,年老组大鼠出血同侧皮质和基底节的脑肿胀程度较其他两组严重(P<0.05),表明出血后年老组大鼠的脑水肿严重.年老组EICH后4周时,左侧与右侧脑室面积的差值较中年组和年轻组明显增大,表明出血后年老组大鼠的脑萎缩程度最严重.结论:EICH后可造成年老组大鼠早期严重的脑水肿,并在出血后4周出现严重的脑萎缩.

英文摘要:

Aim: Aging plays an important role in intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) of human being. Fischer rats are a kind of experimental animals whose body weights become stable as getting older, which is more like the human being. Therefore, Fischer rats were used to investigate the effects of aging on early brain edema and long-term brain atrophy. Methods: Young (4-6 months), middle (12-14 months) and aged (22-24 months) male Fischer rats received an intracerebral infusion of 100 μL autologous whole blood. Age-related changes in brain swelling and brain atrophy were examined. Results : Brain swelling of ipsi-hemisphere and ipsi-basal ganglion were more severe in older rats compared with younger rats at 3 days after EICH (P〈0.05). And at 4 weeks after EICH, changes of ipsi-ventricle size were greater in older rats than younger rats (P 〈 0.05). Condusion: Age is a significant factor in enhancing ICH-induced brain injury in rats. The phenomenon that EICH causes more severe brain swelling and long-term brain atrophy in old rats, is probably due to different reaction of rats to brain injury in acute phase.
