Huizhou（会州）was an important traffic node in Tang Dynasty,and had commanded the Yellow River ferry.Its site was current Liuzhou Ancient City（柳州古城）at the Shuiquan Town（水泉镇）,Pingchuan District（平川区）of Baiyin City（白 银 市）,Gansu Province.The Doucheng Castle（陡城堡）at the Shuiquan Town was not the site of Huizhou in Tang Dynasty,it was a military fort in Ming Dynasty.The Chanzhou Ancient City（缠州古城）at the Shuiquan Town was a ruins of Chunyin county（鹑 阴 县）in Xihan Dynasty,and Zhanyin county（鹯 阴 县）in Donghan Dynasty.The author gave a few comments about how to investigate and study the ruins of ancient city.
