Objective: Using resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging technique, to study the functional con- nectivity of amygdale in first-episode, medication-naive patients with major depressive Disorder(MDD) during resting- state. Methords: Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging scans were performed in 32 first-episode, medica- tion-naive patients with MDD and 35 matched healthy controls(HC). The resting-state functional connectivity was investi- gated using bilateral amygdala as seed regions. Results: Compared to HC, MDD patients showed reduced functional con- nectivity during resting-state between left amygdale and left orbitofrontal cortex(OFC). Conclusion: In the affective net- work, abnormal functional connectivity between the amygdala and OFC may represent the important neuropathological mechanisms of MDD.
