Deficit in adapting to society is one of the most prominent symptoms of autism spectrum disorders and the symptom needs the most urgent improvement. Cognitive functions, like fluid intelligence, executive function and cognitive flexibility, seem to be closely related to social adaptation. Impairment of components of abstract reasoning may be blight on adaptive behavior, because abstract reasoning is common to those cognitive functions. It could improve the ability to reason by training with imitating real situation, computer simulation, aerobics and friendship in order to help ASDs develop social interactive behavior.
