Stress corrosion cracking(SCC)is a key problem when 7000 series aluminum alloys are applied in corrosive environments.The effect of heat treatment technology and environmental factors on SCC susceptibility of 7000 series aluminum alloy was discussed.SCC mechanism was discussed and a "phase transformation-Mg-H" theory was proposed firstly.The future trend of this research field was also prospected.
