From the perspective of open innovation,this paper investigated effects of Secondary Innovation on innovation performance. Based on the two stages model,it examined the mechanism of inbound and outbound,Secondary Innovation on innovation performance. Taking high-tech firms as the sample,results found that the inbound firms were more likely to choose Secondary Innovation. The Secondary Innovation negatively moderated the relationship between the inbound model and its performance and positively moderated the relationship between outbound model and its performance.
