Within the current context of promoting a coordinative development of urban - rural area and building an over - all well - off society, the government is in urgent need of solving the problem of increasing and dou- bling farmers＇ income. Based on probing into the significance of implementing the strategy of doubling farmers＇ income, this paper analyzes the specific circumstances of farmers＇ income increase in China in recent years, dis- cusses the major restraining factors, and puts forward the concrete measures of transforming agricultural develo- ping mode and transferring surplus labor force in rural areas.
