为了解江西省的鸟类多样性,本研究依据《中国鸟类分类与分布名录》的分类系统,在前人研究的基础上,结合近年来发现的新记录,对江西的鸟类进行了统计和分析。结果表明江西省有鸟类480种,隶属19目72科。江西省分布有国家重点保护鸟类84种,其中国家Ⅰ级保护鸟类有13种;列入中国濒危动物红皮书的鸟类有52种;列入濒危野生动植物国际贸易公约的鸟类有70种,其中附录Ⅰ10种;中国鸟类特有种13种,无当地特有种。江西省鸟类多样性丰富,特别是候鸟和水禽种类非常多,这可能与江西的地理位置和生态环境有关。

英文摘要：

In order to know the bird resources in Jiangxi Province, the number of bird species in Jiangxi was accounted and analyzed based on the previous studies and the new record in recent years according to the taxonomic system of the book ＂A Checklist on the Classification and Distribution of the Birds of the China＂. A total of 480 species were recorded, belonging to 19 orders and 72 families. There were 84 national key protected species, among which 13 species belonged to first-grade protected species. Fifty two species were listed in ＂China Red Data Book of Dangerous Animal＂. Seventy species were recorded in ＂the Convention on Internaitional Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora （CITES）＂, among which ten species was listed in the appendix I. There were 13 species endemic to China; however, there was no species endemic to Jiangxi Province. The result shows that Jiangxi Province has high bird species richness; especially, migrants and waterbirds are abundant. These may result from the situation and ecological environment.
