Objective：To probe into the pattern and role of nestin in rat developing teeth. Methods. After preparing specimens of every stage of rat developing teeth, immunohistochemical staining of nestin was carried on, Results： Nestin was primarily detected in functional edontoblasts, Conclusion： Nestin participates the development of tooth germ, especially in the differentiation of edontoblast and secretion of dentin matrix.
