AFPGA芯片中嵌入处理器的硬核或软核,构成片上可壕程系统(SoPC)。对于专门的处理器体系结构,为了能够在源代码级别上对操作系统进行定制,以提供实时服务,一般采用将Linux内核进行剪裁并移植的方法。本文给出了在Xilinx Virtex4的PowerPC硬核环境下移植Linux内核的过程,并通过Vjrtex ML403开发板进行原型验证,以展示操作系统内按移植的整体思路以及各环节的关键步骤。
A FPGA chip embedded with hardware or intelligent property processors are called system on a programmable chip (SoPC). Linux kernel tailoring and transplanting into a specific processor are commonly used to customize an operating system for a specific architectural processor in the source code level modifications to provide real--time services etc. . The process to transplant a Linux kernel to the hardware environment of PowerPC processor inside Xilinx Virtex 4 is proposed in this paper. And the process was practiced by the implementation on a Virtex ML 403 development board to demonstrate the whole idea and the key details along the tailoring and transplanting process.
