Ophiocordyceps sinensis has few natural res ources and can not be artificially cultured. Natural environments play key role in its growth and development. The growth and development characteristics of O. sinensis, its growth habit, ecological response were investigated. The effects thrown by its host Thitarodes insect including, systematic and geographic distribution of Thitarodes insect, growth, development and feeding habits were analyzed to provide theoretical reference for the protection and sustainable development of O. sinensis natural resources.
