With the fast socioeconomic development, the balance between economy and ecological environment has become one of the urgent problems. The ecological compensation has attracted extensive attention. There are five types of ecological compensation in Yancheng coastal wetland,according to the research results of ecological compensation and the natural conditions, environmental protection and economic development characteristics in the region. They are erosion coast protection,pollution compensation, project development compensation, ecological red line protection, ecological protection. The ecological compensation system is built on the subject and object, standard, different types of calculating, safeguard mechanism, performance evaluation and supervision in Yancheng coastal wetland.
