Mathematical Anthropology： Mathematical Culture of Miao, published by National Press, in November,2013, is written by Zhang He-ping, a young scholar on ethno-mathematics and mathematical anthropology in Kaili College. This book discusses the mathematical knowledge in daily life of Miao, ethno-mathematics and mathematical thinking of Miao, the mathematical culture in costumes, silver decoration, art of architecture, ancient songs of Miao,and the application in education etc. It embodies the writing style with holographic research methods, detailed research materials, blending liberal arts, text and graphics. It analyzes the mathematical culture of Miao from such perspectives as mathematics, culture, history, anthropology, sociology, ethnology, education, architecture, ecology,physics, philosophy and aesthetic and so on. Therefore, it can be said that this book provides a paradigm for the Chinese mathematics anthropology in research content, research approaches and methodologies.
