Marxism with Chinese characteristics has been a great theoretical and practical topic that can not be avoided in the field of philosophy and social sciences. To Criticize and reconstruct modernity is the basic dimension of Marxism. The theory of three great social formations is the theoretical innovation for Marxism to rebuild moderni- ty. To explore new models of modernity is the essential purpose of Marxism with Chinese characteristics. The China model displays the historical value of Marxism with Chinese characteristics. It shows that in the process of globaliza- tion, people can understand and express the nature of modern world in various and historic ways.
