Firstly, based on the soft sets, we gave the set of parameters a algebraic structure of semigroups, introduced the concept of the soft ideals of semigroups, and then got some of its equivalent characterizations; secondly, we obtained the properties that two soft ideals of semigroups under the different operations were also soft ideals of semigroups, and the properties of the images and preimages of the soft ideals; finally, discussed.
