The reliable data transport should be provided as a kind of basic services in a well-developed network. In energy-limited and bandwidth-limited wireless sensor networks（WSN）, the reliable data transport is also indispensable. The paper first analyzes why TCP can＇t perform well in wireless sensor networks, and then presents current research progress and key technologies in reliable transport protocols in WSN, including several representative protocols such as PSFQ,ESRT and RMST. Application scenarios and fundamentals in these protocols are illustrated. At last, we summarize the research trend and prospect of reliable data transport in WSN.
