选取2001-2006年期间我国36个工业行业的面板数据,实证考察了外商投资对工业废水、二氧化硫等6类污染物排放的影响。总体样本估计结果表明:外资进入与人均污染排放水平之间存在显著的负相关性,因而并没有支持污染天堂假说。我们还根据行业外资进入程度高低划分了两类子样本进行估计,结果表明外资进入的环境效应与引资程度密切相关。此外,我们也发现企业劳动生产率的提高、科技经费的增加都有助于缓解环境污染压力,企业专职环保人员、行业国有企业比重与人均污染排放水平具有正相关性。

We investigate the effect of foreign investment on six pollutants such as industrial polluted water,and sulfur dioxide according to China s panel data of 36 manufacturing sectors during 2001 - 2006,which shows that there is a significantly negative correlation between the entry of foreign firms and pollution emission per capita,that is contrary to the popular hypothesis so called pollution haven.We also find that the environmental effect of foreign investment notably varies among different sectors.Meanwhile...
