The role of low carbon city evaluation is self-evident for the promotion of urban low carbon development. The paper combs the related concepts and research situation of low carbon city evaluation; and suggests that ＂ assessment＂ and ＂ construction＂ must be considered together,the low carbon city evaluation system of ＂ the combination of evaluation and construction＂ are discussed. Finally,this paper gives some suggestions on low carbon city evaluation in future research.
