The rational spatial allocation is an important issue in the archives architecture design.Along with the transition of the functions of archives, spatial allocation of archives also should beadjusted. On the choice of archives building bases, it should consider three issues: interior or suburbs,space expansion and the independence or co- construction. In the aspect of spatial allocation, itshould consider the principles and the different functional requirements of archival repositories,external service area, technology area and office area. In the dynamic allocation of space, it shouldconsider the future development requirements of the archives and the method of dynamic allocation.
