At present, the establishment of a free trade area has become an important strategic tool of each nation to acquire market resources, to expand development space and to enhance international status. In such circumstances, Chinese government has adjusted the new key-point of foreign trade policy to establish the free trade area rapidly. By a multilevel diplomatic effort, such as the Summit Diplomacy, the economic diplomacy of the Ministry of Commerce, and the functional diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China is carefully implementing the strategy of free trade area and actively promoting the construction of free trade area. Currently, as a result of the international financial crisis, global free trade is facing immense challenges. Therefore, to speed up the construction of free trade area is of great significance to effectively respond to the impact of the international financial crisis, and to enhance the sustainable development of the national economy.
