研究了曲面数控加工的NURBS刀具路径生成理论及算法,通过精确计算拟合偏差的方式来优化控制顶点的数目和位置,从而实现NURBS曲线的高精度拟合和刀具路径生成。实例研究表明,该算法拟合精度高、稳定可靠,并且容易实现编程,适用于自由曲面数控加工中的NURBS刀具路径计算与生成,能够满足模具型面的高性能数控加工需求。
A new approach was proposed to fit the cutter locations with NURBS curve for generating NURBS tool paths. The algorithm used a new high precision fitting method to fit the tool paths through the cutter locations more precisely with fewer control points. Thus a NURBS tool path with higher accuracy and more concise program could be generated. Examples of sculptured surface were designed and the NURBS tool paths were generated. The application results demonstrate the advantages of the approach,and satisfactory to the high performance CNC requirements.
