The redox balance embodys the thought of Yin-Yang Balance in traditional Chinese medicine （TCM）, and it is similar to the fundamentals of TCM constitution and three-level prevention idea based on TCM constitution. Studies on the diversity of redox mechanism will serve as a breakthrough for the classification of TCM constitution. On the one hand,detecting the redox state of different body constitutionwill disclose the scientific connotation of TCM constitution; on the other hand, it will provide some refer- ential indicators for preventive treatment of diseases.
