Based on the social economical and spatial aspects of the new urban-rural relationship, this thesis analyzes the trends of rural spatial transformation, and discusses the hidden problems concerning rural life, production and ecology. With rural spatial transformation in Southern Jiangsu, it provides corresponding strategies in the new urban-rural relationship. It holds that the rural planning based on the new urban-rural relationship should focus on the guidance of the transformation of rural space of life, production and ecology. The concrete measures mainly include： focus on function renewal and restructuring of public space in living space, emphasize the land agglomeration and endogenous growth in production space, and pay attention to ecological right and control in ecological space.
