At the beginning of the 21st century, in the face of discordant reality of China＇s economic and social development, the CPC Central Committee put forward Scientific Outlook on Development and clearly requested to coordinate economic and social development and so on. In the past 10 years, in order to promote the coordinated development of economy and society, the Party and the government have implemented a series of major measures and obtained apparent effect. Currently, there are some prominent problems affecting the coordinated development of economy and society, including that the level of social development in China＇s economic and social development is not high and the reform of related areas is still not in place, and at the same time, China enters into a critical period of completing the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects and a crucial stage of continuing to deepen various reform. The situation for further coordinated economic and social development is still relatively grim, the task is very difficult and its requirements are higher and harder. For these reasons, we have to continue to increase the intensity of coordinating development, vigorously develop various social undertakings, further improve the people＇s livelihood, accelerate advancing public institutions reform and the transformation of government functions, to promote coordinated economic and social development, and thus to ensure the smooth realization of the goal of completing the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects.
