In terms of the need of the military affairs and disaster rescuing, routing protocols for mobile Ad Hoc networks become the hot topic of research currently. Based on the advantages of table-driven and on-demand routing protocols, a new hybrid routing protocol (SNRL) was proposed. The performance via simulations show that it is better than some existing table-driven and on-demand protocols in the aspects of packet delivery ratio and average delay.
