Case of Zuihua Chuang written by WANG Yu is unique to the diagnosis and treatment of phlegm disease,which discussed the phlegm disease from the theory,pathogenesis,diagnosis and therapy.He proposed the theory that various diseases originated from phlegm.He also put forward that the phlegm is produced from the spleen and stomach,and its lesion including lung,stomach,pericardium and limbs are closely related to activities of qi.Diagnosis of the phlegm disease depends on slippery pulse and pulse position to aid in the differentiation of symptoms and signs.The treatment methods are divided into dei ciency and excess,or eliminating dampness,or reducing phlegm,or clearing phlegm,eventually invigorating the spleen to close the aftermath.
