As a common and important organization mode in modern society, temporary organiza- tions （TOs） have attracted attention from management scholars in different fields. This paper analyzes the connotation of TOs, introduces the types of TOs, and sorts out existing researches on TOs from the close and open angles. Finally,it advances the directions in future researches.
