This paper discussed the importance of flow factor in evaluation of artery coordinated control, and then proposed an analysis index for artery coordinated control based on traffic simulation, which could be used to analyze the adaptability and sensitivity of coordinated eontrol plan when flow was changing. Preliminary experiments showed its feasibility. After analyzing the coordinated benefit at different splits and different numbers of coordinated intersections, some general characteristics of coordinated control were obtained that minimal split in artery direction will influence the whole coordinated control benefit greatly and intersections in coordinated control should be less than seven.
