武鸣壮语动词经常后附-aw、-a:k一类固定音节,以往的研究称之为“后附音节”。本文通过形式和意义两方面的分析,认为它们形式上属于粘着型附加成分,表达的语法意义是处置,其中-aw、-a:k是表达处置的构形标记。这说明壮语语法里除语序、虚词以外还存在粘着型动词后缀。
Depictive Syllables following verbs, adjectives and nouns abounding in the Tai languages are covered under the generic term "Postposited Syllables" in previous studies on the Zhuang languages, which may be illustrated by a group of such post-verbal syllables in the Wuming Zhuang dialect with invariable rhymes -aw and/or -a:k and variable initials and tones in correlation to those of preceding verbs. This paper conducts analysis on both forms and meanings of such syllables. It concludes that they are bounded morphological suffixes, and convey the grammatical meaning of disposal, with the invariant rhymes assuming the morphological marking of disposal. This study is significant in indicating that in addition to word order and functional particles, bounded morphological verbal suffixes are employed in the Zhuang grammar.
