It is difficult to provide guidance to practice research on information systems （IS） success trom the perspective of corporate performance. This paper constructs an IS success model based on the function of different level managers using an exploratory multi-ease study. The results indicate that different level manag- ers definite IS success＇ standard is that IS application should be able to assist top managers to make decisions, middle-level managers to control and lower-level managers to implement plans.
