Civil society organizations (CSO) play an irreplaceable role in the control and prevention of HIV /AIDS.Even though there is a rapid growth on CSO ,we must realize that there are still many problems that hinder its sustainable development .Through literature reviewing ,this article discussed the necessity ,the current situation as well as the advantages and disadvantages of CSO ,in order to promote the progress of CSO participating in HIV/AIDS control and prevention .
